Please read these terms carefully before using the site.

Welcome to whitestation70.com (the “Site”). These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Site operated by White Station High School Class of 1970 (“we,” “us,” or “our”).

By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. Purpose of the Site

The Site exists to:

  • Connect members of White Station High School Class of 1970
  • Maintain a class directory
  • Share memories, photos, and updates
  • Publish announcements and reunion events
  • Maintain memorial and “In Memoriam” pages

This is a private community-oriented platform and not a commercial social network.

2. Eligibility

You may use the Site if:

  • You are a member of the White Station High School Class of 1970, or
  • You have been invited or approved by an administrator.

We reserve the right to restrict or revoke access at any time.

3. Account Access (Magic Link Login)

We use Supabase Magic Link authentication for account access.

  • You log in by entering your email address.
  • A one-time secure link is sent to your email.
  • Anyone with access to that link can access your account.

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining control of your email account.
  • Not forwarding login links to others.

4. Member Profiles and Directory

You may create and update a profile containing:

  • Name
  • Graduation year
  • Contact preferences
  • Biographical information
  • Photos

You control what information you choose to provide. Some information may be visible to other logged-in members based on the Site’s configuration.

You agree not to:

  • Impersonate another person
  • Provide false information
  • Use the directory for commercial solicitation

5. Community Content

You may submit:

  • Memories
  • Photos
  • Comments
  • Announcements
  • Event information
  • Memorial tributes

By submitting content, you represent that:

  • You have the right to share it.
  • It does not infringe on the rights of others.
  • It is accurate to the best of your knowledge.

License to Use Content

By posting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to:

  • Display it on the Site
  • Store it for archival purposes
  • Include it in newsletters or community announcements
  • Use it for reunion-related purposes

You retain ownership of your content.

6. In Memoriam and Sensitive Content

The Site may include memorial pages and information about deceased classmates.

You agree to:

  • Share only accurate and respectful information.
  • Avoid speculation or unverified claims.
  • Notify administrators of inaccuracies.

We reserve the right to edit or remove memorial content if necessary.

7. Communications and Email

The Site may send:

  • Login emails (Magic Links)
  • Administrative notices
  • Optional newsletters
  • Event announcements
  • Memorial/death announcements (based on user preference)

Users may manage their subscription preferences within the Site.

We are not responsible for email delivery delays or failures caused by third-party email providers.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Harass, threaten, or defame others
  • Post offensive, abusive, or unlawful material
  • Upload malicious software
  • Attempt to access other users’ accounts
  • Scrape or harvest email addresses
  • Use the Site for commercial advertising or political campaigning

We may suspend or remove accounts that violate these Terms.

9. Moderation and Administrative Rights

Administrators may:

  • Review submitted content before publication (where configured)
  • Edit formatting or minor errors
  • Remove content that violates these Terms
  • Suspend or delete accounts

Administrative decisions are final.

10. Data and Privacy

Your use of the Site is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect and use information, including authentication via Supabase.

11. Intellectual Property

The Site’s design, structure, and original content (excluding user-submitted content) are owned by White Station High School Class of 1970.

You may not:

  • Copy or reproduce the Site’s structure or code
  • Republish Site content outside the community without permission

12. Disclaimer

The Site is provided “as is” and “as available.”

We do not guarantee:

  • Continuous availability
  • Error-free operation
  • That all content is accurate or complete

Community content represents the views of individual members, not the organization.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for:

  • Indirect or consequential damages
  • Loss of data
  • User-posted content
  • Unauthorized access to accounts

14. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access:

  • For violation of these Terms
  • For misuse of community information
  • If necessary to protect the community

You may request account deletion at any time by contacting linda@whitestation70.com.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date will reflect changes. Continued use of the Site after updates means you accept the revised Terms.
