40th High School Reunion Plans Friday Evening, October 8, 2010 What: Open House – light snacks – beer/wine/water/soft drinks When: 7 pm – 11 pm Where: We partied at the home of Leslie and Renelle Ballin who again generously offered to host us. We had a wonderful time at their home during our last reunion so this was an encore opportunity! The food was catered by classmate, Karen Blockman Carrier, who owns Another Roadside Attraction (catering) and several remarkable restaurants. Note: Memphis photographer David Kay (brother of fellow Spartan, Russell Kay) took photographs throughout the weekend which can be ordered through him. He will attended Friday night and Saturday night events. Saturday Afternoon, October 9, 2010 What: Classmate Jimmie Miller (formerly Janic Crone) invited us to do something fun and good for your mind, body and soul. She graciously invited us to join her in Byhalia, Mississippi at her studio, Yoga by the Barn, for a free yoga class, table tennis, badminton, and more! Due to limited reservations with her for the event, however, the event was canceled.   The Tower Room is located on the top floor of Clark Tower in east Memphis. We reserved the beautiful restaurant for our private party. In addition to breathtaking vistas overlooking east Memphis, the evening included conversation, a wonderful meal, cash bar, and a DJ so that we could listen and dance to the music that we enjoyed when we were in high school! |
