WHITE STATION HIGH SCHOOL - CLASS OF 1970

WSHS SpartanOctober 2010

  • Reminder: Join us on Facebook.
  • Thank you to the following vendors for helping make our reunion a success: FastSigns (Union Avenue), Mr. Steve Stewart for the "welcome" sign at the reunion; Mr. Hall Crawford, at A.S. Barboro, for beverages.
  • Photographer: To purchase photographs that were professionally taken at our class reunion events on Friday and Saturday nights, please contact David Kay.
  • Photo Sharing: At past reunions because of your generosity with photos that you took, we were able to put reunion photographs online. This year, we hired a professional photographer. Due to copyright laws, we will not be able to publish his photographs on our web site. If you took photographs at the reunion, please send them to Linda Goodwin-Parkinson so that those can be shared online.
  • Online Directory: While some of you have used our class online directory, many have not submitted a photo to go on your profile. If you need instructions to access the directory, contact Linda Goodwin-Parkinson. If you want your photo with your profile, send it her.
  • Email from Class of 1973: We have a favor to ask of you. One of our alums has turned out to be, much to our surprise, a real Memphis celebrity. Most of you know or are familiar with John (Bad Dog) McCormack. He’s known from a wide range of activities--from entertaining us on Rock 103 to faithfully raising money for charities across the Mid South. After so many years of helping others, he now needs a helping hand himself. John, a single dad with two amazing sons, is scheduled for a bone marrow transplant soon and the costs are astronomical. A media blitz begins the week of October 18. To make this really easy, please visit the website at www.friendsofbaddog.com to donate and listen to a short plea from some of his oldest friends. No amount is too large or too small. Please pass this on to anyone you know who has a Memphis connection with John or one of his many, many siblings who attended WSHS. Thanks so much, in advance, for your generosity. Onward Spartans, Tommy Loeb, Billy Daniel, Rocky Kasastes, and Leigh Goldstein McLean
